We had family and friend's dinner this weekend. Getting to catch up with nearly fifty people before the semester starts was well needed; maybe not the calories though!
Sunday School is fantastic. As week just concluded the third week on the Book of Romans; the discussion has been wonderful. Paul has summarized most of what the Good News is all about. We have just now made it into the second chapter, dealing with sin. Ultimately, we should ask Where is the Sin? The world would have us think there is no such thing; that we should indulge ourselves at every whim, live carelessly without regard for others. Paul and other authors of the Bible giving testimony to the Good News tell a different story, as did Jesus.
While Romans was probably not the best chapter to build a short Small Group Study around; it does summarize so much that another class. equally as long should be forthcoming.
Psalm 89:11 says "The heavens are yours, and the earth is yours; everything in the world is yours—you created it all."
So to his Glory we are here to serve God. And because the Wages of Sin is Death, we thank God for his grace that he sent his son Jesus Christ to earth to pay the price for those sins. So wthat what is written in the scriptures would be fulfilled and that we may be able to dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God....The Almighty. Who was, who is, and who is yet to come.
