Fun Fun Fun

Yesterday was a event filled day and caused me to use scripture to support me. One that kept coming up was Romans 5:8.

For whatever reason I felt lifted by this passage. It says something to the effect "While we were still sinners, God sent his son Jesus Christ to pay the price for our sins." While I was still an enemy of our God, he sent his son to die for me. Talk about turning the other cheek. Maybe it is because I am teaching accounting class right now that I thought of this.

Let's say, because I am aware of the law I will be judged by it and by the law I mean the ten commandments. Let say that each carried a fine(And they do! Romans 6:23 say that death is the penalty).

So let's say my fines for these totalled 1 Million dollars or 100,000 for each offense.

As I am having the sentence read, someone pays the price for my disregard for the law. That person was the son of the judge. That person was God cloaked in human flesh. That person paid the price for sins with his own blood.

Another scripture was Proverbs 23:3-5.

It is so cool that someone told me I should learn the address for these scriptures!

Anyway, this one talks about wearing yourself in the pursuit of wealth and to know when to quit. I think I know why that one popped up and I will reconcile(ha-ha another accounting term) that with God tonight.
